Gentlemen's Factory

Speaking

He speaks because he builds.

Jeff's talks come from building Gentlemen's Factory, working inside New York City government and serving on the boards of civic institutions. Each makes one argument, supported by experience, and leaves the audience with a different way to see its own work.

Talk 01

Community Should Have an Outcome

We have become very good at gathering people and not very good at developing them. Belonging matters, but it is the environment, not the result. Institutions that serve communities should define the change they exist to create, design for it and measure it.

For
Foundations and funders, corporate talent and ERG leaders, community organizations, civic convenings
Audiences leave understanding
The difference between access and development, and a practical way to redesign programs and partnerships around outcomes instead of attendance.
Behind the talk
A decade building Gentlemen's Factory as a community, then deliberately rebuilding it around structured cohorts and measurement.
